So maybe 20 years from now I'll be eating at Friday's restaurant (off US 1 and Mariposa Ave in Miami) - Celebrating with Jason Foster, Jeff Gammons, Doug Kiesling, and others and find out the PUNK that stole $8000+ of my camera gear was this KID when he grows up? Just sayin...

Tommie Leamon No. Why do you ask? The BITCH in front of me ran the light and I was BEHIND her. Not in a "good way" either.

I still have the dashcam video of it. The same video the dispute team ignored and still denied my claim - And slapping on an additional $25 fee on the fine!

Focus on the God damn problem and the purpose David Sweeney made this thread in the first place. Now, $450, please...

Posted: Feb 28, 2020, 12:38 PM

Chris Collura is feeling worried.

Kinda scary news. As you probably have seen the stock market, thanks to this stupid coronavirus, is taking a major hit.

And, like I did in 2001 with 9/11 with jet engines (future metals) = today I'm working at an IT business heavily affected by the stock market.

One of three things can happen. First, we can get let go and be out of work.

Two, they can downsize or relocate us, not everyone will go.

Three, we stay and we are given other projects, with work merely shuffled around.

Probably #3 would happen with me, since they already took me off the "integration project" and put me on the assets project (since I proved to be more tech savvy), ofcourse the others around me who weren't will be canned.

Always something...

This is exactly why I will NEVER EVER take a full time IT job again!

This is what caused a hot zone in N Italy. Causes everyone to rush out and buy stuff, crowding stores and public places, exactly the opposite of staying home and not spreading it.

I wonder since, like I found many areas in Vietnam, not many "outsiders" know about it, it's super cheap due to lack of tourism or gouging. In Vietnam a 4 star hotel on the beach was barely $23 USD a night, and no crowds / parking nightmares. Just un spoiled beauty. Hope these places stay that way...

Chris Collura replied to Dan Griffith's comment.

Stephen Sponsler The traffic alone there (in NY) will even kill me with a heart attack.

Looking for parking at a modest day at the beaches in S Florida this time of the year is so stressful I just dont bother going. You pull into the beach parking and theres simply no spots, and several cars already in front of you, stopped, waiting for that old lady to finish everything else BEFORE starting her Cadillac and backing out, only for one of those 4 people in front of you grabbing that spot, then nothing else.

Last year I "caved" and spend $25 to park, using the valet. But never again.

Posted: Feb 24, 2020, 7:31 AM

Chris Collura replied to his own comment.

Christian Sandoval Yeah and it's sad because I have many friends of different races, some Vietnamese ones I knew for years in Florida. In southern California, their friends looked at me and said to them "why are you hanging out with 'that WHITE guy'?" ... Caused many problems. I would never treat anyone like that, and the last time I saw that attitude towards whites was when I worked in Saint Louis in 2006. So sad.

Being offered 2 IT jobs, I chose the Denver one rather than stay in S California. Oh, just filled up last week, $2.01 for unleaded. Yea TWO oh one, not "four" or "five" oh one.

One of those nights that can KILL someone (with a bad heart). Dashcam not working. Ok no big deal, just put another micro SD in it, right? No - Remember your $400 cassette deck eating tapes in 1989? Not the "tape", the SD card is fine. Dashcam needs to be replaced. In the process of TRYING to reformat the SD card (in adapter in my laptop), which took forever, it failed and somehow ruined the SD reader. F'cking lovely. Now the laptop card reader is ruined.Apparently the dashcam did something to both micro SD cards I put in it, and ruined them, and attempting to put them in the card reader in my $2k laptop fried that port!Like the 1989 $400 cassette deck ruining tapes so they also ruin other tape decks you put them in - In this case I have no mullet to tear out :/

Remember that drug abuse most likely PUT most people in that situation in the first place, where they need foodstamps (loss of job, home, family, etc).

With all these colds and flu going around I was getting sick and tired of "broths" and "soups" myself. A little taste of what you must have been going through. Glad you feel better.

Tooth infections are extremely dangerous and can be deadly (a person I used to chase storms with had open heart surgery to replace a heart valve just because he didnt see a dentist promptly for an inflamed wisdom tooth).

He wound up spending a quarter of a million $$$ due to such complications, where a "quarter of a G" $250 dental visit would have prevented that. Garnished pay (for the rest of his life), can never chase again, medicines forever, limited mobility, huge scar = I'll pass on that and sing to the whine of the dentist's drill anytime.

I've been to many of these and some are just fun to go to, others are amazing, like Niagara Falls. But I'm not fond of large crowds and try to visit such places when it's not overridden by tourists. For example, Niagara Falls in the dead of winter may be amazing as it features amazing ice formations and it's just different. Not many people out to brave it either. Theme parks such as Disneyland, I avoid them unless it's not busy. I remember people waiting for hours to get on a ride, standing in the sweltering sun under misting fans and finishing off a $25 mini burger. Pure misery.

So while we were still asleep here in the USA we all moved over a bit, along with our bed, house, city, state, and the tectonic plate.

No word on the items (from the cashier), but the people in my line wanted to strangle her. People arent considerate like you and I, so everyone pays for it.

Chris Collura replied to Dave Lewison's comment.

It's so basic. I noticed at this particular shop the people who normally worked there, and did it the RIGHT way, are gone. When I made a suggestion to push my sandwich ahead, since I wasn't getting anything on it, she looked at me like I did know what I'm talking about, yet the cashier got angry at her because she was waiting for someone to check out. Wasting everyone's time. The 'salt in the wound' was my bread was stale, a first for that location. I got upset stomach from it too since I was so hungry, sick of waiting and dealing with them, and I at it anyway, despite it being stale.

Posted: Feb 13, 2020, 12:15 PM

Chris Collura updated his status.

Oh my. Gotta love subway sandwiches. Dont bother going in there IF you see a line (Hey Brandon Clark, Subway has been awesome since June 5, 2009, right?).

1). If someone orders a plain sub, and theres a bunch of them waiting for veggies and dressings, wrap that one up and give it to the cashier, saving an additional wait for both the cashier and the customer. The smart shops do that.

2). Huge line because some moron is ordering 5 or 10 sandwiches for their office, so one lady is there, but might as well be 10 people (rolled up into one, wait wise). Call it in. They do allow that for big orders. Not fair to those behind you.

3). With all the confusion, I grab my sandwich and it's wrong, mixed with someone else's piled up at the register.

4). Finally, get my sub, rush back to my office, and bite into it. The f'cking bread is STALE. Dry and flaking. You just lost a customer until you fix that BS. Just efficiency folks...

John Planco Going from over $633 to under $90 is ridiculous (in a good sense).

Just removed the original video and re-posted with different music. We will see how that goes...

Due to copyright "claims" from who knows where ... This video was re-done with a track GUARANTEED royalty free. Daniel Shaw, you realize all these copyright accusations flying around, don't you?

Tim Marshall Haha! Mine too!

And you know what I really hated? My mom or grandmother (God bless them) would see dirt on my forehead or face, lick their fingers, and use that to wipe it off.

My immune system should beat coronavirus like a champ!

Chris Collura replied to Miranda Kay Roberts's comment.

Miranda Kay Roberts Thank God I have nothing monetized, not worth having my channel deleted altogether over 50 cents a year :/

Posted: Feb 4, 2020, 7:17 AM

Chris Collura replied to Jason Foster's comment.

Jason Foster I understand that about only major channels get the high visibility and I want to keep my channel small and simple. I removed all monetization because people complained about all the ads and it would be literally pennies a year and not worth it anyways.

Also I am just going to get a content warning and ads thrown on my video, not strikes where my channel would be taken down. I mainly link my website to videos on YouTube anyways, as no one on Facebook is gonna see them anyways :-[

Some other jackass stole video, blaming it on fair use people. Sucks.

Chris Collura is feeling puzzled.

So sick and tired of posting stuff I KNOW is NOT violating any copyrights, yet I'm getting claimed against since some morons are also using free / fair use audio from the "YouTube Audio Library" yet claim its theirs against those legit using it.

The end results are people complaining about ads on my videos. I have ads turned off and dont monetize anything. It's bad enough the stupid algorithms hide my beautiful content from 99% of my audience to begin with.

I had the ChaserCon video I presented at the convention, but removed the audio and replaced it with a track from the Audio Library to MAKE SURE I was doing this fair and square. I guess not.

I am happy i dont have a million subscribers at this point :(

Nearly a 60 degree temperature drop here in the Denver area in less than 24 hours. That's one heck of a cold front for you! Temperatures on Sunday were in the upper 70s, Today, in the upper teens with snow. That's the extremes of western weather!

Impressive all this negativity I see on these posts ... Nothing like "This is great" nor "Hey Henry, beautiful weather here in Denver?" ... Nope, just (ANTI)social media bringing out the worst in people and slamming him with personal attacks.

People have been driven to suicide because of "antisocial media" and esp dating apps. Sad.

One good thing about seeing abusive posts = brings me back to my days in junior high, and me being young lol

I see so many young people now a days (not 15 y/o, more like mid to late 20s) and they do not drive.

When I was 15 I just was clawing and scratching my way into the drivers seat, getting my own car by my 17th birthday. Not sure why so many people dont drive at all at a relatively late age (20s and up).

Its obviously different growing up now than 30+ years ago, maybe people just dont go out as much (spend more time in social media or gaming?) Or love in big city where you dont need a car. Interesting topic.

Anyway, hope you get going and have the freedom as well.

There are several of those fake outlets in Fort Lauderdale airport. Its mean and quite abusive to customers to be honest. I'll remember my sharpie next time!
