Cracker Barrel is still around. Although it's a tourist trap and not the best food. Many other chains are long gone though.

Howard Johnson (now HoJo) was a restaurant as well as a hotel chain in the 70s. There was also Wags restaurant. Bennigan's recently went under. Po Folks was another one.

ChaserTV Its something with the site. It constantly throws ads. Skipping ahead in the video I was able to get it to work.

It's a news site so there are many ads and slowdowns as those are the worst for applets and hostile code (slow!!!) content.

Jason Foster That's a big problem east and southeast of the lake. Up there it isn't a problem by Tampa. The algae issue is bad in Palm Beach.

Stephen Skelly Its awful there and as bad as communism can get. 10 cents a gallon would be on par with us paying $100 a gallon, relatively speaking.

Sad how people complain so much about the USA. They just need to see a 3rd world country like that first hand. I wish more folks would.

I saw the poor areas of Vietnam. Also a communist country but no where near as bad as Venezuela. Hard working people for next to nothing.

Jason Foster And storms in places (and at times) as in Marshalltown, Iowa that defy "seasons" (BAD for chasers and storm victims alike).

Storm "displacement" at its finest.

Watch no major hurricanes in September and in November N Carolina gets hit with cat 3 storm. Or Oregon gets an EF5 tornado in December.

Merry christmas.

Consistent with EF3 type winds (over 160 MPH I'm guessing).

Drives the point home where the tornado "season" doesn't wait for a date range (its 2018 after all) ... So always be alert.

On a side note, down here in S Florida, in the SUMMER, and highly contrary to most assumptions - Cold and flu is rampant. Everyone sick.

So like tornadoes, the cold / flu is taking note that ITS 2018 and "getting" people when they dont expect it.

Officially back in south Florida after bouncing back and forth between Chicago and Tornado Alley from April 28 through July 8 (Last chase being June 25). Not the best if years to say the least season wise. Managed to miss several setups but saw the Tescott storm May 1 and the Seibert Colorado stuff on May 28. Now the focus will be the hurricane season (IF any storms even hit land). Plus football season starts in a couple of months.

Good luck. You probably wont miss much. It will be like Beryl in the Atlantic (or what's left of it) if it hits land.

And they built it on a lot which had affordable rent for the middle class hard workers.

This not only pisses me off but is bringing rich snobs into an area they dont deserve - Plus no way in my wildest dreams am I posting away 3 grand a month for rent.

Un believable.

Yeah, Tim Marshall. If I hit a bird (even a tree sparrow) I'm dead.

But up there you have "indicated" airspeed versus true airspeed (from the altitude). So 200 MPH at 10,000 feet "feels like" 165 MPH.

Awesome time at the CSC Independence Skydiving event today and wishing everyone a happy and safe July 4th!The image is spherical (360 VR imagery) after exiting a Pitts Special aerobatic plane inverted over Rochelle, Illinois, and passing through a hole in the towering cumulus clouds. Cant tell which way is up or down? At that point it doesn't matter. Gravity and physics will do its job!
