One of those games where you didn't care if the win or lose. Ofcourse they lost but that last quarter was nearly a disaster and their only touchdown.

Down here in south Florida they're detonating these huge firecrackers or salutes. Sounds more like a stick of dynamite. Shock wave and all. Glad I'm not trying to sleep now.

Chris Collura is feeling depressed.
An unexpected and un forecasted bout of "anticyclonic gloom" covered much of south Florida until late afternoon. Grey, raw, cool, and dreary weather --and certainly NO skydiving today. Is this Miami or Seattle? Seriously I'd rather be up north in the ice and snow. Thats more exciting at least.
So much for "Saturday and Sunday should be mostly sunny with highs around 75 deg" forecast for the past 5 days. And get rid of these stupid holidays too. I'm over that with everyone and his / her mother jammimg up all the roads. Like I had any family to spend the holidays with. F'king bull shit.

I got a little bored getting over a cold and made this handy little gadget. Using two end caps from 2 disposed tubes of toothpaste...Anyone ever had those empty "travel size" toothpastes and wanted to somehow "refill" them before a trip?...Well I took two end caps, drilled a hole through them, and put them end to end, sealing them in epoxy. Since most toothpastes have similar thread on the end caps!Heres how it works...1). Place one end on full (usually larger) tube of toothpaste. Tighten.2. Place the other end to the empty one you want to fill. Tighten.3. Squeeze the full tube so it fills the empty one.4. Remove and recap. No mess!

Chris Collura commented on Dave Lewison's post.
What I have been doing is not spending much money as I used to / carefully managing it.
Not buying boats, expensive cars and / or homes, foolish stocks, and getting ripped off by rent is the key. Even paying off my credit card IN FULL at end of month. No interest and get points (for trips or such).
An idea of moving to California was a pipe dream last year. But the costs of living there and outrageous rent prices quickly changed that concept.
Even making 6 figures, paying $3500, or more, each month on apartments rent was just that: $3500 is $3500.
Live in a place where its 1/5 that (or at family extra room if you have that option). And work on contract (in IT for example) here and there. Save the $$$ and enjoy the long "vacation" between the jobs. And the lower income spread out (across the year) lowers the tax brackets to boot.
For example, with where I was gonna live up in the air a couples years back, now that I'm with family in Florida - I realized I was also holding on to furniture and items in a PODS storage unit. This past month I donated / sold some stuff out of that, closing it and that alone saves $220 a month in unnecessary rent
So roughly $2500 or so a year saved right there (spent holding on to old "junk" basically). Enough to offset health or car insurance hikes.
With these changes the skyrocketing insurance premiums and living expenses / government f'ck ups would hurt me the least.
People living ABOVE their means or paycheck to paycheck are the most at risk for any inflation or negative changes in the economy. Ironically, the same people thinking I was "too paranoid" about this a few years ago are flat broke / bankrupt now :(

They have a cool boat parade each year here in Fort Lauderdale. The last time I saw it was in 2009. In the 80s and 90s you could park anywhere and walk to a bridge or park (or even vacant lot) and see it in all its glory. For FREE.
NOW you gotta deal with $40 or more to park, shoulder to shoulder pushing and shoving. Parking tickets and tows. Fights. And barely get a view. Plus the lights 20 years ago were BETTER than those today with more boats then.
Glad us old people were able to appreciate the good old days, when people were nice and having a car wasn't a "hinderance" :/
Just ain't worth the frustration.

That traffic jam is on Dixie Highway near Sample Road in Pompano Beach. Mere blocks frim my dads place here. Traffic there is very bad and people are very impatient (as in many other places). When the tornado directly hit, he still didnt know what was going on. In the video he says "its a hurricane?" ... Bad driving aside, that temper of his was similar to mine in traffic. Hehehehe.

Jason Foster, this is down here in S Florida off 75 and Sawgrass Expressway. Speed limit is 65.
I saw 4 cars along a stretch pulled over, they have the car and more "maneuverable" motorcycle for nailing people. NEVER a warning (I wish!). 74 or over and there's NO WAY out of the ticket.
Hurricane speed (ironically).
Also they pull people over for flashing their lights signalling a cop is "staked out" up the road. Why does this remind me of deputy Lorraine in Texas in May 2004?

Even playing with the privacy settings, Jason Foster, is vague. To be honest, no one needs to know about every single solitary thing theyre doing. I've seen bad breakups fostered by FB. Friends of a friend gossiping and causing trouble.
Even an old friend of mine I completely forgot about giving me hell last spring after she saw, my chase map and the "path" coming within 300 miles of her family's place in Wisconsin (and me "so selfish" not to swing by and say "hi"). Not the kind of attention I needed.
This caused me to remove EVERYONE and add only specific friends back by hand. The one in Wisconsin was blocked.
