The action was in MY FORMER back yard in northern Illinois (uh umm - The back yard that's now 1000 miles away from me)!

Tornadic supercell headed right for Joliet and I-55 / I-80 area right at rush hour! This storm has a confirmed large and destructive tornado with it - Take cover if your in the path!Yes, that's a debris ball forming on the southern tip of that storm!

Hearing reports of a large tornado near Ottawa IL ... This would have been a 45 minute drive for me had I still been working up there. What an aggravatingly (and way too) early start to the chase season.

Oh and NICE DAY for KLOT radar site to be down?

May 10th, Lori Ferguson. It was a high risk day.

Now I see they UPPED it even more to 15% hatched and MDT ... Is it February, April, or CNT (Collura's Not There) season?

Boy I woke up on the wrong side of the bed (and country) this morning ... Let's see how much good stuff I'LL MISS today since I'm not up there anymore in IL.

Huge 10% hatched tornado risk? Seriously? In February?

Hahaha ... Yeah we'll need TWO winched vehicles for that!

Posted: Feb 26, 2017, 12:05 PM

One of the final touches ... Got the 9,500 lb winch installed and working on the Jeep. That feeling of accomplishment is wonderful after pulling off the bumper and getting the winch plate on, then the winch itself. Ready for storm chasing and assistance to anyone needing debris cleared or pulling out of ditches.

If you love someone you can just tell them that every day or make any night a special night.

Valentine's day is a HALLMARK DAY and is a commercialized day for stores to make profits. Since money is the root of evil, many relationships END on Valentine's Day - Usually after a fight over a belated gift (or card).

Oh and a few years back I believe ChaserCon (the storm chasing convention) happen to fall on Valentine's Day. I've seen first hand the 'damage' that caused :/

The base rate for tipping is around 15 to 18 percent. If the service is satisfactory, that's the tip. If the service us bad (for each "infraction" like forgetting a straw or bread, not asking us if we need tefukl, and such, is like 0.25 or even 0.5 percent deducted. On the other hand, good service and gestures adds such points.

Side hail guards for driver and passenger windows done and looking great. Just wrapping up front windshield hail guard that will protect the hood and Jeep window. These all will be painted matte black.

Wedge Wednesday! I'm throwing in the Rochelle, Illinois EF-4 from April 9, 2015!What a beast that was (unfortunately 2 people in Fairdale were killed) and a restaurant (Grubsteakers) destroyed with part of its sign carried 80 miles away to south of Milwaukee in less than minutes!

As long as you can see through. The front driver and passenger guards will have a lexan window as well. And the guards will sit away from the window with padding.
