F'ck the dentist!

I had a SEVERE toothache that required a root canal. 2 years of it never feeling right, $1267 later and severe pain back, it was finally done "right".

Well "right" was yanking the tooth, and doing an implant. After a year and $4500 more ... relief.

On February 1st, 2005 in front of Fridays Restaurant (near US1 and Mariposa in Coral Gables) I would have spent THAT plus the $10 more to catch those crooks. That night I would have disagreed with you, Jason Foster.

But now I learned to just let things go and HATE insurance companies because they're BIGGER crooks :)

I stayed behind on this one ... Derek Sibley and I got suckered by the models in the Atlantic and the "violent Gulf Hurricane" simply WON'T happen now. The west Pacific is the place to be. And you folks WILL succeed there many, many times. The Atlantic has bern an absolute joke this year, and the past 10 years.

And I wouldn't post stuff like this. That person falling to his death (in that picture) basically kissed his wife and kids goodbye going to the office with his coffee cup in hand probably less than an hour prior. And that's him, dying because of terrorists. Remembering what we list is one thing, but please don't rub these images back in out faces. Oh, and by the way, my life was NEVER the SAME again after that f'cking day.

Chris Collura commented on Jeff Piotrowski's post.

Southwest needs to get these and FAST. Right now they cannot fly non stop cross country (if you go to east / west coasts such as Fort Lauderdale in FL to San Francisco in CA, you must do at least 1 stop).

The 737 MAX has the A320 like range to fly over 3,500 miles non stop, about a third more than their existing 737-800 in their current fleet.

Stopping costs money and is delay prone. Remember your connecting flight you have to catch is usually the one that's NEVER delayed :-(

In Chicago, rush hour starts at 4 AM and goes to 10 PM. On weekends traffic is worst from 10 AM to 9 PM, and 2 PM on a Sunday looks like 6 PM on a Monday! Outside these times, construction usually closes these roads in an unsolicited manner :-(

This cell was unique as it was "anchored" along (not 2, but 3) boundaries. The dryline, an outflow boundary / shear axis, and quasi-stationary front (these latter two oriented ESE to WNW and intersecting the dryline just north of the bulge in it), with interesting upper support as well. A truly interesting and complex setup to say the least.

Also note that this same stationary front became an instrumental mechanism for the long-track Solomon / Chapman storm a day later on the 25th!

One person NEEDS new roof. Hail storm grazes his (or her) residence. No damage ... So go up with a hammer and go to town, claiming (fraudulently of course) and we ALL pay for this BS in higher premiums.

7 Years AgoChris Collura updated his status.Sep 9, 2013, 8:00 AMMy mom is pretty much on her way out ... She's in a coma now and they are putting her on life support. She was so stubborn about doing that stupid chemo stuff ... She was not doing bad since June 2010 - She was smart, not doing the chemo gave her almost 3 1/2 years of "extra" time on this planet.I am forced to accept something like this ... Like "finding" out the tropics are sheared and you won't be chasing hurricanes ... You cry a bit, then get over it, life goes on.Death is not darkness, it's just like turning off your light when you go to sleep ... and then, the (much brighter) light is sure to come when you wake up the next day (sigh).

What a nightmare that was driving out of there last night. Trees / powerlines blocked one road, back track 15 or 20 miles to another route, eventually that's blocked too a mere 100 feet from an intersection I was striving for. Eventually made it out to I-10 thanks to my creative driving skills!

Awesome. There are some very low lying coastal areas east of St Georges island that can be very dangerous - Especially at night with the landfall. I'm out here myself, maybe I'll run it you!
