You're probably wondering what the heck is this guy doing falling out of a Pitts Special aerobatic biplane WHILE it is upside down???Place: Chicagoland Skydiving Center (41.89266998826, -89.071537256241) Address: 1207 East Gurler Road, Rochelle, Illinois 61068

I'm trying for tomorrow! I simply could not make it this morning as the Pitts was simply not there until late. Good things have to be waited for I guess.

This morning (really early) ... I figured I could do the Pitts Special jump and be into work late morning. Boy was that a flop. They had at least 9 people waiting there since 7 AM and they're STILL waiting for the first load (Heather was the first in line for the manifest, Casey was number 2, I would have been 9).After hearing "It's delayed a bit and will be here within the hour..." (heard this 3 or 4 times since 8 AM) I just left and headed to work at 10:30 AM. The last "BS claim" was the plane will come at 12:45 PM. At work you can check online and it's still waiting at 2 pm, meaning these dumb morons (at West TN skydiving providing the Pitts) still couldn't get the plane there to Skydive CSC.Broken promises and failed dates... The "delayed a bit" was a nice touch guys.Place: Chicagoland Skydiving Center (41.89266998826, -89.071537256241) Address: 1207 East Gurler Road, Rochelle, Illinois 61068

At least 9 people were waiting to jump the Pitts biplane since 8 AM this (Wed) morning. 2 PM almost and there's no Pitts here. We've been hearing "It will be here within the hour" since 9 AM. Not sure who dropped the ball on that?

Chris Collura is feeling disgusted.

You money grubbing USA immigration and beaurocrats can stick your fingers up your ass and stop denying work permits and sponsorships to hard working immigrants who are TRYING HARD to make something of themselves coming here and learning the culture and what not.

Kick out the f'ckers who come here and steal and kill ... But not someone struggling (for example, from Vietnam in a nail salon) ... WTF? Seriously? Those people are a benefit here ... huh?

I'll REMEMBER this doing my taxes and I'll deduct everything so you dumbasses on Capitol Hill get the smallest IRS holdings. I swear. You US government low lifes don't deserve it. You're getting SHIT from me.

Stop picking on nice people like my friends and kick the RIGHT people out of the USA. They're under you're noses ... LOOK, IDIOTS !!!!!

OMG ... Soooo many times I have those dreams:

1). Camera doesn't work.

2). I don't have camera on me or I have to run back to my car to get it, and I run and don't go anywhere.

3). Shots blurred or doesn't come out.

4). Dead batteries.

5). Camera works perfectly and shots clear and framed but I don't press the God damn record button (or double press). So I get the inside of my car, my legs, lap, ground, etc and no tornado!

Note: For number 5 above the "nightmare" came true a few times.

Chris Collura commented on Sea-Doo's video.

These things are an absolute blast. Fun, exhilarating, and down right thrilling. I had the RXP-X 255 back in 2009. And got the 5 year warranty with it...

... BUT ... The fun ended in 2013 when the engine failed and costed upwards of $9000 in repairs, and the 5 year warranty was NOT paying for it.

The repair shop felt so bad they didn't charge labor, so I paid $6000 for the rebuild instead of $9k. I was screwed and because of that, GAVE UP this wonderful sport forever. I sold my repaired unit in 2014 :(

You pay for an extended warranty just so you don't have to pay for stuff like that (it's a machine, and it can break). Had they honored it (like they should have), I would have kept it. But afraid if it breaks again, I would be paying for it on my own.

Yes, the warranty was from Sea Doo and they didn't cover it because they could not determine why one one cylinder seized. Okay?

Posted: Jun 23, 2016, 6:14 AM

Chris Collura commented on Skip Talbot's post.

I encountered this same CG barrage just as the large tornado (the illuminated one I posted) was forming near Seneca, IL while looking west on US 6. These CGs were like once or twice every second. Blinding and hitting all around. Hands down some of the craziest I ever seen. This was roughly 9 PM CDT and slightly after.

These were staccato lightning and I do agree with the positive polarity shift that occurs with intensifying mesocyclones (usually with tornado genesis). One mechanism is the strengthening FFD, which brings the positively charged cloud material down wind of the updraft closer to the ground, allowing positive lightning (either staccato or smooth channel) to occur.

Checked 14z HRRR and it shows nothing but a small HP storm going right over the north side of Chicago and over the lake then the MCS continues eastward. Nothing near NW IL which has me scratching my head. But I guess the model is simply wrong or confused.

Do NOT even attempt to go anywhere near the Chicago area during rush hour (and their rush hour is pretty much ALL DAY until late at night, even on weekends), and this is during good weather! ... You'll see an over shooting top, numerous spotter reports, license plates all around you in a parking lot on a toll road, and your bald spot getting larger and face getting redder!

Now here's an example of Walmart garbage. This was a few years back in south Florida...

1). Had a line by the deli and a bunch of pissed off customers. No "take a number" at all. Impatient, I grab a bucket of chicken wings. The only one left, later (and my stomach) realizing it was "super spicy". Went back asking for regular mild wings... "oh sorry, we don't have 'em..."

2). People with 20 or more items in the cart that IGNORE the 10 items or less sign that's prominently posted ... Yet the cashier says nothing.

3). Fights in the line. Two old ladies fighting because one cursed and called the other "potty mouth"!

4). They don't have much of common items. Need rubbing alcohol, "solamente grande" ... they only have the big one. Lipton soUp empty shelf. No boneless and skinless chicken thighs, but all other chicken. Butcher says "sorry, we don't have 'em...". BS

5). Only a couple registers open. Person in front of me 2 or more separate purchases. SEPARANO!!!

6). Lady with screaming babies in the cart. Kids picked off all tags from clothes. Took 20 minutes to reconcile what was what. No new register opened. Cock blocked everyone in the line. Went to customer service and was told "sorry, you need to go back in THAT line and wait".

I was inches away from a last minute flight from Chicago to Denver on Monday morning 6 AM and coming back Tuesday AM for a one day mini chase ... Soooo glad now I didn't. Here's why...

1). An enhanced risk or higher over the Palmer divide probably won't do anything. It's the 2% or less that will be "Simla like".

2). Tornadoes DID happen yesterday, but not where expected (Trinidad CO and Amarillo TX). Hats off to Mike Umscheid for being dialed in on that.

3). The same disturbance will be OVER N IL on Wednesday anyway.

4). I got 5 years worth of tornadoes in 5 days at the end of May 2016 (sorry to rub that in) :/

It's probably not a surprise but these radical groups such as ISIS are basically driven by pure hate and laying down fear.

So if you're racially different, old, young, gay, whatever ... They will use that as a lame excuse to cowardly kill and make this world a fearful place to live.

Remember if you have a hateful muslim, he's not only gonna hate you for the extreme religious stuff, but FIND many other things, including homophobia.

Also ... have you all looked around in general? Do you notice on social networking / dating sites or apps you are often rejected for your age? Then you see "no blacks", "no Asians", or "under 30 only"?

WTF? Where's the love and sticking together?

Sometimes I think ISIS isn't the ONLY thing we need to be afraid of (!)

Then it's done, and I'm good for a WHOLE DAY (wow, wupp dee doo) and "--upp, not again", the scratchy (hope it's just dry) throat - back and up towards the nose ... Another 2 to 3 weeks to do it ALL again. Up here I got a cold once in the winter, and a light flu, and that was it, fine all year otherwise. I was simply never healthy down there. Not sure why (maybe the warm weather and tourists, extreme stress at 123 EDI, etc).

Finally I get some rest after spot chasing almost non stop since mid April, putting off a trip to FL for dental work and family that I finally can do this weekend.
