Exciting weekend for me. Just did nothing! Decided to just sleep and relax most of the time. Especially after being sick last week. Your body just needs to catch up some times.

Dave Lewison Turning off the "gasper" turns off the fresh air which is brought in from the outside. That's actually worse because the air will be stale and no fresh air.

Much better this morning. Flu is nearly gone and I feel back to normal. Yesterday was the "finale" of it!
Posted: Jan 28, 2016, 6:13 AM
Chris Collura replied to Dave Lewison's comment.
Definitely the truth. A good friend of mine here, Dalton Do, was in Maui couple of months ago and after returning was sick for almost a whole month! Most likely from the long plane ride.
That explains why I was so sick despite very few flu reports in Florida or Illinois. Most likely some person behind me or next to me from one of the "widespread" states passing through.

Fortunately AFTER returning from Florida Monday night, I suddenly got that grouchy, snappy attitude (I could not figure out) with bad headache and chills with dry cough. By yesterday it was full blown flu - Complete with 102 fever, green stuff from nose, bad cough, aches, chills. Ugh!
Better yet ... The nurse at CVS pharmacy clinic gave me Tamiflu (which is helping a lot) but also said I was the FIRST case of flu at her clinic for the season (lucky me yaaay)!
I assume I either got it from being in the tropical "petri dish" in south Florida (cold and flu festers there cuz of all the people visiting) or most likely in the airplane. Sux.

These pesky unexpected snows (far from the east coast blizzard) that come out of nowhere tend to do that :(

Our attitude (positive or negative) is a powerful thing that can make or break our lives and anything in it. After my last trip and comments from best friend of mine here ... I realized how lucky I am to have what I got. The grass may "appear" greener on the other side but may not be that way when you get there!Like aviation ... Attitude (position / orientation of an aircraft, or skydiver) is a prominent driving force in the outcome of the flight. Look at what happens to my free fall VELOCITY (measured) just from a subtle change in my attitude!Think of that same affect with you're attitude around Co workers, friends, and family ... a little thing that can make a big difference.Place: Rochelle, Illinois (41.9233, -89.0657) Address: Rochelle, Illinois 61068

We all have our WORST fears. I skydive and chase storms. But these are my "fears" that make me act like a pansy (#1 being the WORST)...
1). Being alone (worst+++).
2). Being rejected / not accepted.
3). Getting a terminal illness or chronic disability.
4). Family obligation / tragedy.
5). Dying (least).

Very strange Skip Talbot. I'm wondering if that's the combined wedge (weakening Pilger twins merging) and the rope (I saw it forming as a thin filament clearly between that and the developing Wakefield tornado) and growing into a stovepipe. Not sure if it was a handoff from the Pilger system (or even a satellite from that) that remained, intensified, then got involved in the Wakefield system. I have detailed video of this as well from 275 looking N. This was a complicated storm with a LOT of stuff going on!

The first named storm of the 2016 Atlantic hurricane season?Yes! Forming on Jan 12 and churning in the east Atlantic basin as of Jan 14 making this one if the earliest systems (since Epsilon in a similar area from December 2005 to Jan 2006)!Meanwhile, the central Pacific basin also complimented with the formation of Pali well south of Hawaii. Weather can occur in the STRANGEST places and times and certainly does NOT follow rules!

It's winter and it's COLD. I normally struggle with red and crusty areas with dry and flaking skin in such weather, and nothing (expensive creams) seemed to work. But this stuff, pure coconut oil, put on my skin once in the morning (after over a year of skin creams not working) cleared it in 3 days. Another remedy the big companies don't want you to know about!

Imagine some bomb going off there. It would take out the entire security area and injure and kill hundreds (possibly thousands). Far more than aboard a single airliner or at a gate.
