Not the best of pictures (sure were caught off guard with these king of things) ... But a small tornado was observed after skydiving near Clewiston FL from Highway 98 on the SW side of Lake Okeechobee, FL. This was the dissipating tornado, which lasted a mere 25 seconds during the afternoon of July 28, 2012.

I was asked to do a presentation at the Wellington Radio Club on the severe storm seasons of 2010, 2011 and 2012. These were always fun doing, and reminds me so much of the "weathervine" chase team (with Dave C and Jeff Gammons) back in the day.

The Saharan Air Layer (Or SAL) is caused by dust from Africa (Sahara Desert) advected across the tropical Atlantic by the easterly trade winds. It's common in July / August in FL and the Caribbean. The dust appears as a haze across the sun, also note the "capped" cumulus caused by the trade wind inversion.

Simply going to 'dinner and a movie' became far more dangerous in Colorado this week than skydiving in the eye of a hurricane (statistically that is). Please, Mr Michael Malinconico - Keep your MOUTH SHUT on this one (I'm sure you had your pleasure watching CNN the past few days). This is a pure MONSTER who did this, evil as much as a terrorist. This composite image shows the flags at my skydiving facility at half mast, overlaid to INNOCENT folks at a movie - I HOPE this gets some sort of message across. God bless us all.

Skydiving belly-to-earth is one thing, but go head-first with arms at your side and things get really interesting. In aviation, attitude means 'position' or 'orientation' (far from what we use that word for in other night life or dating contexts). Changing attitude (such as going from belly-flying to head-first) causes a VERY big change in airspeed in a skydive. In this jump, simply going head-first for 15-20 seconds allowed me to reach 231 MPH - About as fast as a formula one dragster (or even funny car) - With NO engine - Just me and gravity!

Went skydiving today and was asked to remove all references to my L-39 Fighter Jet video thanks to the FAA's claim on "taking passengers not trained with Russian Ejection seats" to the great pilot who took me up.

I know the government is BROKE thanks to what Obama (as well as some really stupid ARM loan lenders in 2008 / STUPID Americans who THOUGHT they were rich when they bought stuff they knew they could never PAY for).

So they are now TRYING to bust people / pilots who supposedly broke some law for the past 20 years that THEY just made up yesterday. No wonder us nice people cannot get laid on on-line dating sites anymore in the US ;-(

BTW ... The great pilot "who took me up" is now facing hundreds of tousands of dollars in fines and court fees (and probably has his certificate yanked). For what?

Fucking GET ALONG USA - No wondder why when I go to Canada all those Asian chicks (than HATE me in teh USA) but me drinks! This country is fucked in its tight ass - period.

Yes, MR Michael Malinconico, you can cum in your pants now (I know HOW MUCH you LOVE bad news and when the government SCROOZE people) ;-(
