Relaxing as of Sunday after skydiving at the Everglades Boogie in Clewiston a day prior (Sat 1/28) ... Jumed 5 times, and hung out from 7:30 AM to free-beer, band, and bonfire at 8:30 PM with the US Army jumping with pyrotechnics to wrap up the day ... Posting picture as soon as I catch up! Thanks to all attendees and the folks at Air Adventures who made the "Boogie over the Everglades" another awesome skydiving event another year in a row!

Everglades Boogie skydiving event in Clewiston this weekend ... Hoping the weather forecasted doesn't sock-in / cancel the whole event.

It's HAMMER time. ANYONE sending me these requests will be UN FRIENDED, no questions asked.I was told about this little "V" to remove them, and I'm still searching for it. Second, I tried blocking all the apps on Saturday ... Obviously that did not work ... The image was from 5 minutes ago today.I am tired of sifting through JUNK messages, where 1 out of 5 or 10 is legit / real.

Went shopping for hard drives this week (wanted two 3 TB drives to mirror as RAID-1) and before Christmas I passed them up at a mere $159 each. Last night, the same were $249 each ... Sounds like "Gas Prices" ey?
Again, something that we need, jacked way-the-F'd up ... Cuz of "something happening" on the 'other side' of our planet ;-(
-- At least this company stated the reasons -----------------
Notice to Customers: Due to the flooding in Thailand and the foreseen shortages on hard drives, [this company] is limiting hard drive sales to a quantity of one per customer at this time. Please contact a [this company] Customer Service representative at service@[this company].com or 1-xxx-555-1484 if you have questions in regards to the limits placed.

Bullshit. First is a ship attacked in the Middle East with gas prices, now this? What's next, another recession?

OK ... FarmVille, CityVille, whateverVille ... I simply do not have time to play "games" ;-)
Anyone persistantly sending me requests will either be ignored and / or un-friended.
Sorry to be so harsh, just trying to keep all my contacts either weather (storm chasing) or business related.

LOL ... More than 90% of my posts and comments are all requests for Cafe World and Farmville. Like I really have time for those? Every day I spend too much time weeding out these (ignored anyway) posts!

Back to work on a rather sad Monday ... Last night I discovered I lost a very sentimental piece of jewelry (a medallion) I had for about 10 years from my family. I am so bad at wearing jewelry as I am afraid I'd lose it, so I kept it in a box, and somehow lost it anyway. I HATE jewelry.

Wow ... Just completed a major digital conversion.
1. Entire CD collection of nearly 500 CD's has been digitized (MP3's) and resides in roughly 8 GB of space ... Can fit on a single 8 GB USB drive.
2. 200 audio cassettes digitized to MP3 and resides in roughly 6 GB of space.
3. About 100 VHS tapes converted to MPG video, taking about 300 GB of space.
4. About 80 betamax tapes converted to roughly 200 GB of space as MPG's.
5. All 50 8mm DV tapes grabbed to MPG (720x480) files, taking about 120 GB.
6. All 65 4mm DVC and HDV tapes grabbed and saved as either MPG (720x480) or HD MPG (1440x1080i) taking about 400 GB of space.
7. All negatives and still photos since the early 80's (including storm chases prior to 2004, when digital) scanned and digitized (about 75 GB).
So basically, about 500 pounds of tapes, records, photos, taking up half a room can fit on a 1.5 TB hard drive with room to spare. No rewinding, instant access (via streaming video), and the ability to have my 500 CD's on a thumb USB drive I can plug into the USB port on my car stereo ... Nice!

First really cold Canadian air reaches S FL finally (upper-30's / Low 40's) ... Cold for S FL, but not too bad for me!
