Good luck to all chasing in the central USA ... Keep in mind that "since it's not near MIA FL" ... You should have a good play .. No madmen to run into you either ;-)

People down here in Miami are assholes, I'm sorry. Next week I am out of there.

Chased a bit this Monday morning in south Florida. Got some of those rotating storms as they went offshore with wall clouds / possible water spouts. Then some idiot rear-ends me. Only the trailer hitch was bent, which I fixed. The other's car was messed up (the hood). The funny thing there was a cop right on the corner who "magically" did not even see the idiot hitting me!

Saturday ... So off to go skydiving. Monday I shall hear more on my potential new place in Sunrise, FL. Hopefully I'll be settled in there by mid-April and then focus turns to storm chasing. Still not thinking much about work. Enjoying the free time.

Soon to be moving out of Miami and farther north near Ft Lauderdale into a bigger place and better neighborhood. Rent a bit higher, but place is double the size, has an extra room for my office, and a garage. Better location for storms, and, when applicable, any new work locations. Thanks all again for the fantastic party this past weekend in the FL Keys!

The 2010 hurricane Florida Keys hurricane / storm chaser BBQ party was awesome. Jim Leonard was the host and deserves a special thanks for putting this together and having us over. The RXP Seadoo provided some fast and furious fun on the water as well! More pictures to come soon (once I get over my sore muscles and sun-burn)!

Ahh, Back in Florida after a wonderful trip to California. Many thanks for the great hospitality from my best friends over there and what a nice outdoor adventure it was. Seeing waves over 20 feet the ENTIRE week there was quite interesting as well. More pictures posted to my wall...

Just past my half-way point in a fantastic California trip! If you like anything outdoors, I think CA is the place to be. My friends and I just completed a great hike today in Yosemite National Park, right UNDER the largest waterfalls in the US. Yesterday was skydiving from 18,000 feet, the day before that a visit to Mount Diablo. Some pictures posted to my wall...

Currently enjoying near perfect weather in California ... Checked out the famous "Mavericks" break on a great beach / tidal hike and was able to watch waves over 3 times overhead (nearly 20 feet) crash into rocks at close range - Awesome! Wall photos posted ... Still a week to go out here...

Weather was very good during March 6-7 weekend ... Good skydiving in Clewiston on Sat and used the SeaDoo afterwards. Now it's off to California for about two weeks, coming back March 18 (for chaser picnic). Hopefully the central US chase season will kick in after that. No mention of any, well, any "Work" ... Bad word for me right now - Hah!!

Chilly ... But no storms / no waves. Florida - Screw El NiƱo. Anyway, chase season is soon. Forget about all the obnoxious hoop-earringed A-HOLEs here and I'll enjoy California for 2 weeks. After, the hurricane chaser party / BBQ in the FL keys is March 20. You know something ... I found out that my job replacment pays HALF of what I was making? Oh well - Their loss.

Middle of the week, and relaxing as I am not working right now, and probably won't for a VERY long time. Just booked 2 week trip to California, leaving FL and the cold "storm-less" fronts behind, and maybe pull off an interview or two there as well. After that, still planning storm chase operations and collecting unemployment + severance. This is why I am not committed to anyone NOR any finances!
