This is a video of the violent (EF-4) tornado in Ottawa County, Kansas near Bennington during the late afternoon of May 28, 2013. This was an impressive supercell storm developing along the intersection of a stationary frontal boundary and dryline to the northwest of Salina, Kansas and west of I-135. This tornado was 1.4 MILES wide and was on the ground for OVER an hour, packing winds close to 200 MPH! See the beautiful life cycle of this severe weather event, in addition to the storm remaining over open farmland and not hurting anyone.
