This is a short video clip from a hurricane Katrina high altitude reconnaisance mission while I was a VIP aboard NOAA's Gulfstream IV research jet (N49RF) "Gonzo" accompanying Jim Edds (KG4TBE) for CBS Miami. This important mission studies the environment above and around a hurricane to help determine its future track and intensity. This video is from August 26, 2005 as hurricane Katrina was in the SE Gulf of Mexico.
