HURRICANE IRENE IN AUGUST 2011

(Click HERE If No Video Displayed Above)

This is a video clip of some of the highlights from the observations and chase of hurricane Irene in August 2011 including the effects along the SE Florida coast and major intercept in North Carolina. See the after-effects and injuries caused by a rogue wave at Boynton Beach inlet as hurricane Irene was east of the area in the Bahamas on August 25. Then it's off to chase Irene's main landfall in coastal North Carolina on the 27th, as the storm causes extreme flooding and winds gusting to near 115 MPH. See the calm eye of the hurricane east of Beaufort as well as many other aspects of my chase of hurricane Irene in 2011 from my perspective as it ravages the Pamlico Sound area from Cape Lookout to Nags Head, North Carolina!
