Video of the effects of major category 4 hurricane "Ian" in southwestern Florida on September 28, 2022. Observations were done starting out near Englewood and eastward through Murdock and across Port Charlotte and into Punta Gorda - The same place devastated by hurricane "Charley" back in August 2004. The video shows the violent inner eyewall effects of the hurricane, with destructive winds, as well as penetration into the calm eye during the late afternoon. The video even shows a daring drive through winds gusting over 130 MPH as well as inland storm surge east of Fort Myers, FL late in the day!
