Interesting meso low streaming off Lake Superior. Most likely a polar low (PL). Akin to their tropical cousins (tropical cyclones) they are smaller but form when extremely cold air passes over "relatively" warmer waters. In some cases they develop an eye like feature - Very interesting indeed!https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_low

Scott Hafer Josh was chasing with his TV crew and at the same hotel my group was at on the east side of Calloway, FL.

The view as we got into the eye was surrealistic. Many chasers who entered the eye including us did.

Going from 150+ mph winds and violent rains to near calm and hot sunshine, then back to 150+ mph backside was so amazing and terrifying at the same time.

I'm sure most chasers will never see something like this in a long time (or even their lives) again (except JM maybe, haha)!

Chris Collura commented on Tony Laubach's post.

About 6 months ago I made a few calls about my health insurance options after not reviewing it for many years.

To make a long story short, I'm still using a Florida Blue plan I had since 2002. Ofcourse it was $250 a quarter back then, now its $980 a quarter.

Luckily for me this is still a STEAL compared to what I heard from others recently!

Upon looking around and between jobs the lowest income would put me under $570 a quarter under the affordable care act. I declined, because once I make more than a certain amount the plan is $950 A MONTH (not a quarter).

Also, since I was grandfathered in years back with the PPO I have now (Blue Choice), if I cancelled it (the $980 a quarter) and decided to re enroll ... that same plan would cost $1,200 PER MONTH. Ouch!

Now I understand why so many middle class people aren't insured at all.

Plus that tax penalty for not having insurance has to go. I'm sorry.

I saw many turned around and / or arrested. I myself was asked if I had connections to ISIS or "foreign nationals". Jesus.

Great subject for Facebook. Seems like no one in interested in anything else now a days. I'm sure if I shot 360 3D VR video of a skydive into Jupiters red spot that would get 2 likes and no replies (like my Michael footage) while if I dare say "Trump did something" that will be a viral thread with 123,967 likes and 65,786 replies.

Jim Johnson So that station got a phone call / email from the revenue department and they ordered them to keep their prices $3.09 since April 2017?

I reported them to the BBB and consumer affairs and actually got a response they are looking into it.

Drove by there today (1/9) and still see $3.09 (oh, I forgot, if you use credit card the "f'ck you" for $3.19 = YES they're pulling that "chit" too, where they milk the CC people).

All the while, the station 150 feet across the street to the SW is NOW $2.05 (cash or credit).

Yet some morons are filling up there for 3.09 (or 3.19) for regular (Trump's girl / boy friends?)

I remember seeing many rides, especially flat rides at county fairs with many parts clearly from automotive / heavy equipment (hydraulic cylinders, motors, even car differential gear boxes).

Although many people laughed at this - It had a reason and a good one - Using "off the shelf parts" that can easily be had at any heavy equipment shop WHEN any such part needs servicing or replacing.

Such proprietary and specialty rides using parts available ONLY from the manufacturer will experience extended down times (waiting for a part to be made up and shipped) or even the non availability altogether.

Good stuff. Basically the same as E6000 or Shoe Goo. I use the large binder clips to hold it for ~24 hours.

Years ago shop class and industrial arts taught us skills like this early in junior high and senior high school. It's a shame they dont anymore.

Shoe goo is exactly what that material is. It's a clear transparent adhesive. I've used shoe goo before and yes, same stuff. Just be careful of the vapors ... If you're in California and breathe them in, you might get cancer ;-P

I think this is fake and you get a 5mw green laser pointer. That CANNOT ignite anything nor burn balloons or paper. I even clicked on the website Nd it says nothing about power level (just voltage and beam nm) in the specs.

Also whole reading it a casino popup came up and a bunch of unrelated ads. More proof this is a shady scam.

Plus in the video ad they're shining the laser pointer into the sky and claiming it can burn things. The FAA finds this page they can face stiff fines and / or prison time.

I know many chasers who blew off Michael as what appeared to be a weak storm at landfall or they couldn't make it ... Missing something like this isn't easy to handle.
