he storm chaser convention in 2020 took place from January 31 through February 2 in Denver, Colorado at the Doubletree Hilton. This continued to be a great event each year, thanks to the great efforts of Roger Hill and his group, and fortunately this year had some of the best attendance / new attendees. Unfortunately, this was the final ChaserCon event, due to personal reasons on behalf of Roger Hill.

Myself standing in front of the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle), formerly owned and designed by Sean Casey, in the Doubletree Hilton parking lot near Denver, Colorado on Saturday, February 1. Note the IMAX turret on top of the vehicle, as well as the hydraulic "ram spikes" that penetrate the ground and prevent the vehicle from rolling in tornadic winds.

Myself inside the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle). Note the harnesses on the seats, as well as hydraulic equipment for raising and lowering the vehicle, as well as for deploying the ground spikes. By far this is not meant to be a "comfortable ride", but should survive the inside of a strong tornado.
