Video of the effects of major category 3 hurricane Milton in the Florida west coast area on October 9 to 10, 2024. Most observations were done in Sarasota County from south of Bradenton and west of Highway 41 in Sarasota, including the John Ringling causeway and Sarasota Bay / Siesta Key. The video shows the eyewall effects of the hurricane, with violent winds, as well as the storm center and dead-calm eye passing over during the night, then the ferocious backside of the hurricane.
